Whatever the mess, God can make something beautiful

The Rock and Worship Roadshow tours around the United States each year, and is hosted by Compassion International.

At the event this year there were delays that we, who were manning a table on the concourse, didn’t know anything about.  We just knew that when 8:00pm rolled around, our “cue” didn’t arrive.  Later in the evening we found out what was happening….

“Crazy story. Last night in Colorado Springs two very important pieces of sound equipment broke…on the same night. What are the odds??Our incredible crew worked harder than ever, our producers got creative, the whole show was rearranged, our artists were gracious and flexible, the crowd was so patient…and Colorado got a one-of-a-kind concert. Acoustic sets, songs that haven’t been performed anywhere else, and artists teaming up with each other – and God turned a major problem into an amazing night!  Our favorite musical moment from last night? Probably this impromptu duet with Jeremy Camp and Phil Wickham. Whatever the mess, God can make something beautiful from it.#RWRS16

Whatever the mess, God can make something beautiful from it.

Isn’t that something to ponder?  So much of life produces messes.  From the time we wake in the morning, until that last “good night”, so much can get off track, or maybe not even get on the track.

Maybe a look at the calendar or day planner is needed to get on track and clean up the mess.  Maybe an “I am sorry, please forgive me” is necessary to start mopping up the mess.

Maybe hands lifted up, the acknowledgement that Jesus is awesome and worthy, and HE has already overcome.

Take a quick peek at how two performers at the R&W Roadshow did just that March 3, 2016.

I pray that you are encouraged, that you find rest in the power and strength of Jesus and know today, Whatever the mess, God can make something beautiful from it.

by grace alone,

Michelle
