Fringe Hours This Week

February 20, 2015 By Michelle

Joining Jessica at the Mom Creative for Fringe Hours This Week!

It’s been a more stressful week than most.  It is the time of year where we submit the proposed schedules for our children in a hybrid dual enrollment school.  I knew that it would be a bit more work this year, with one starting part time college while in high school, one starting high school and another starting middle school.

Whew.

Then we got a curve ball from the state that mixed things up more than a bit!  But it’s Friday and after working long and late in several big blocks of time, some tears from disappointed & confused teens, I think each daughter’s schedule is mapped out.  The only thing we have to wait for now is the college advising appointment to register for college classes (just 2 I think, to start).  We also have to wait to see the school adviser’s reply to confirm or tweak the schedules based on overall enrollment.

This morning I woke a little late and decided to work on my new muffin recipe for breakfast with a little Celtic radio.

It was so relaxing to mix the ingredients and mess around with the measurements of the vanilla and cinnamon.

It was so restful and refueling to spend a half hour just being creative and making something nourishing for my family.

Have you found any fringe hours this week, a little time to soak up encouragement and refreshment?  Please share in the comments!

Yes, it can be relaxing to spend time in the kitchen! Enjoyed reading about your “fringe” time – and thanks for viewing my digital scrapbooking at my blog.

Cherry, isn’t it funny how making those muffins was refreshing, but forgetting about dinner until 4:00pm STRESSFUL! haha. Thank you for stopping by!

I so agree. A “me” time is a must after a very stressful week.
