Being a rather bookish person, I love to share good books with others. I’m finding that more and more of these sorts of posts are jotted into my planner.
My youngest children were literally raised, and schooled with books. Our home school was built around living books, great literature and plenty of time gathered around reading together.
I hope to pass that gift to my grandchildren, so I am constantly checking out new children’s books. And today I have three new books to share with you.
Loves Does was a family read aloud some years ago, and that book has stayed with me over the years. There are occasional clues that it has stayed with my kiddos as well. When I head that Bob and his daughter were teaming up to write a version for kids my excitement was intense. It is my plan to read my copy to my grandchildren…but we’ll see. We laughed, and cried our way through the original copy, and as I skimmed through LOVE DOES for Kids, the tears started again. So much of what this book is about resonates with the deepest hopes of my heart.
If you haven’t read Love Does yet, start there, but go ahead and buy these books together… as I think you’ll want to dive right into sharing the wisdom and love in action theme to the kids in your life!
Multiple copies of this charming, beautiful board book are stacked in my sewing room (a room with a locking door so I can keep gifts “hidden” as well as projects pet hair free). My youngest grandson, Mr Man, will be getting a copy for Christmas, and I also plan to gift this book to new moms in 2019.
And if you are wondering who sang the first song… no spoilers here, go get this book!
This is a touch and feel book and the illustrations are incredibly sweet. God Bless You & GOOD NIGHT is a perfect bedtime read. As your own little sweetheart settles in and gets sleepy, you can read about the baby animals getting ready for bed. Your little one can gently touch and feel the textures on each page as you begin to lay the foundation of security in God’s love. This is another book going on the little stack for little Mr Man this Christmas.
Two of these books were given to me by FrontGate Media in exchange for this review. And I gladly recommend God Bess You and GOOD NIGHT and LOVE DOES for Kids to you.

This movie is written and directed by Andrew Hyatt. Starring Jim Caviezel, Jame Faulkner, Olivier Martinez, Joanne Whalley and John Lynch.
Have you seen this movie? It was a surprise to me how much I enjoyed this movie, and how much I am continuing to think about it. The Bible is precious to me and I love to read and study it. But there is something about “seeing” it that helps me to better see the layers and the humanity in those stories and passages.
As the movie unfolded, I was concerned about Biblical integrity. There doesn’t seem to be anything to be concerned about, and what I gained in Biblical application was rich.
The ending of the movie wasn’t what I expected. Paul’s entrance to heaven got me imagining that moment, which I guess is a good response.
Thanks to Front Gate Media for this complimentary Blue Ray + DVD + Digital copy of Paul, Apostle of Christ, in exchange for this blog post.

There is a particular blessings of being a blogger, and being open to work with brands and marketers. It is the opportunity to receive items that one finds high value in, in the simple exchange of a blog post or social media mention.
The Bible, the Word of God, is an item of the highest value to me and I am thankful to once again tell you about a pretty packaging for God’s Word.

“We are all prone to wander away from the things that really matter. Sometimes, we just need a little encouragement, a breath of inspiration, a quick reminder of THE Truth, our identity, and our purpose.
Prone To Wander LA creatively brings God’s Word in the little things we carry, wear, or see everyday. We exist to bless little lives with the little things we create.”
Aren’t these phone cases great? They arrived some time ago in a rather plain package that opened up to some super fun!
These pretty phone cases arrived and were promptly passed around. I quickly discovered which one I wanted to try out on my phone, the wood case. The case has held up to about a month of use, and a few little falls and drops. Originally I was concerned about the wood showing wear. But it still looks great!
My youngest has been using the clear case, and I think she is quite happy with it as well. After taking a look at the website, I have found that there are many designs to choose from.
Prone to Wander LA also offers various art products such as pillow covers, banners, ornaments and art prints.
Thanks to FrontGate Media for these complimentary phone cases, in exchange for this review. If you are a blogger and interested in reviewing new products, check out FrontGate Media!

Julie Elias is a Christian singer/songwriter who has recently released the album titled A Girl Like Me.
This album has songs, like the title track, A Girl Like Me, that explore the feelings of loneliness and worthlessness. These are feelings that are all too common among all women, young and older, across all borders.
But we don’t have to live with those feelings. We have a faithful God Who can bring into our lives inspiration, strength, joy and peace. Julie Elias reminds each of us that when we are at our lowest, we must choose to remember that each of us are loved, and even “a girl like me” is chosen of God and dearly loved.
I received a cd of the album in November and have enjoyed listening to the fresh new music. I’m keeping the cd in my vehicle, for regular music rotation 🙂
I received this cd from FrontGate media in exchange for this review.
